My Role
My role was as Project Manager.

My responsibilities

Methodology: Agile
For: Development of digital product.
I work with the project sponsor to develop the requirements we intend to achieve regarding the roadmap, goals, vision, and mission. A product owner was assigned to the project, who consistently worked with the business team to collect the requirements and was responsible for writing epics, features, and user stories. I define the project scope and out-of-scope activities. I identified stakeholders including customers who will be using the product post-launch. I created a team of 6 members for product development and we decided to use Scrum Methodology to develop our products. Further, I developed the budget, created the project schedule plan with the product release plan, and got it approved by the sponsor. I took up the role of scrum master and coached the team on scrum principles and the advantages of it.
I created the plan for quality management to be verified as the project was executed. I compiled all the risks that can occur with both qualitative and quantitative risk assessments and created the risk management plan with the risk register. I discussed with all the stakeholders their communication mode and have planned ways to keep them engaged regularly. Further, I assigned resources based on the activities leading to the creation of the plan for resource management. Thus my entire project management plan was ready to be executed.

2 week sprint was finalized and I followed up with daily standups to make sure we were following the scrum methodology. As the project work was in full swing, I worked towards resolving any team conflicts as and when they arose and finding solutions promptly.
I worked constantly with the product owner to make sure the product backlog was prioritized regularly. I make sure any change requests during the project execution from the stakeholders are promptly processed and ready for the next sprint. I was part of the sprint plan meeting and ensured sensible story points were taken up per sprint, which helped us get our velocity on track. With the help of burn-up and burn-down charts, I monitored the work daily to ensure that the work was under scope, time, and within budget, further avoiding any scope creep. I facilitated the sprint retrospectives noted all the issues raised with what went well and implemented the suggestions in further sprints to ensure smooth working.

Methodology: Predictive
For: For product release and training to employees and customers.

I collaborated with the project sponsor to create the project charter. I regularly visited the manufacturing unit and customers to gather requirements and develop a planned release and training program. I defined the project scope, including out-of-scope activities, and formed an 8-member team to create the work breakdown structure. Additionally, I developed the budget, created the project schedule and product release plan, and obtained sponsor approval.

I established a quality management plan to ensure standards were met during execution. I conducted qualitative and quantitative risk assessments, resulting in a comprehensive risk management plan and risk register. I engaged stakeholders in discussions to determine their preferred communication methods and developed a plan to maintain regular engagement. Resource assignments were based on activities, leading to a complete resource management plan, which finalized my project management plan for execution.

Upon acquiring the team, we commenced work. As the project progressed, I addressed and resolved team conflicts promptly. Change requests from stakeholders were managed through established change management processes. I monitored daily progress to ensure the project remained within scope, on schedule, and within budget, effectively preventing scope creep.

Upon completion of the work, I facilitated the sponsor's acceptance of the deliverables. I then formally closed the project by documenting and conducting a comprehensive lessons-learned review, officially disbanding the project team, and securely archiving all project records.
